Tidelines Cowl

The shifting stripes in this cowl evoke the subtle lines left in the sand by tides as they recede. Approx. 30 cm (12”) wide, 41.5 cm (16.25”) tall, after blocking and measured lying flat

YARN

Approx. 160 m (175 yd) of lace- to fingering-weight yarn in both MC and CC [320 m (350 yds) total]

Sampled in Sandnes Garn Alpakka Silke (200 m / 218 yds / 50 g)
MC: #6081 - Dark Grey-Blue
CC: #4331 - Old Pink

GAUGE

26 sts x 36 rows = 10 cm (4”) in stockinette stitch, after blocking. Gauge is not critical but will impact finished size and meterage required.

NEEDLES & NOTIONS

  • 3.5 mm (US 4) 40-60 cm (16-24”) circular needle, or size needed to obtain gauge
  • 1 stitch marker
  • Scissors
  • Tapestry needle

SKILLS REQUIRED

Knit, purl, working in the round, jogless stripes, decreases (optional)
